As a follow up to yesterdays rant about sensor cleaning - have a look at this tutorial - http://www.luminous-landscape.com/essays/sensor-cleaning.shtml
Todays image was taken this February on the Isle of Mull. It is an HDR of 5 images. At the time I wasn't working with HDR but I did sometimes manually blend exposures in CS3, so I happened to have a range of images at different exposures.
In contrast with yesterdays image, in which I really pushed both Photomatix and CS3 to get the Turner painting-like effect I wanted, this image shows just how HDR can be used very subtly to produce 'normal' looking images that contain the full dynamic range of the scene as I saw it with my eye on the day.
I am now wondering if there are alternatives to Photmatix out there which give different (better) results?
